Before you Fly
First Time Traveler
Traveling by air can be a tiring business if you are new to it. So it’s best to be prepared, especially if you are new to it. Domestic passengers should ensure that they have all necessary documents - tickets, valid photo IDs and any other relevant concessionary fare IDs which may be required by the airline. Ensure all baggage is properly tagged and identified. Give yourself lots of time to get to the airport, allowing for traffic congestion, bad weather etc. Web Check in is permitted starting 48 hours in advance and up to 2 hours before flight departure time for International travel. For Domestic travel web check in is permitted up to 1 hour before departure. However, Passenger can enter airport 4 hours prior to departure.
Documents to Carry
Passengers are required to ensure that they are in possession of all documents necessary for travel, apart from their tickets.
Domestic Travel
Passengers must be in possession of a Valid Ticket issued in his / her name along with any of the following Valid Photo Identity Documents in original* for entry into the Airport and travel.

Voter Photo Identity card issued by Election Commission of India,

Aadhaar or m-Aadhaar issued by Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI),

PAN Card issued by Income Tax Department,

Driving License issued by RTO,

Service Photo Identity Card issued by Central / State Government, Public Sector Undertakings, local bodies or Public Limited Companies,

Student Photo Identity Cards issued by Government Institutions/ Government recognized Educational Institutions,

Nationalized Bank Passbook with attested Photograph,
-
Pension card / Pension documents having photograph of the passenger,

Disability Photo ID Card / handicapped medical certificate issued by the respective State / UT Governments / Administrations.
Identity proof/Date of Birth certificate is required in respect of Infant/Minor, when accompanied by their parents / guardian. However, an unaccompanied minor must carry a valid identity proof as listed above. For a passenger who for some valid reasons is not in a position to produce any of the above listed photo identity proofs, the Identity Certificate issued by a Group 'A' Gazetted Officer of the Central / State Government on his / her official letterhead with passenger's photograph duly attested, will be valid for this purpose.
Correct and Full Name in Bookings
Passengers are required to make their bookings in their correct and full names as per the Travel Document.
Domestic Travel
All passengers must ensure that name matches exactly with the BCAS approved Photo Identity Proof (form of identification) which should be presented at the airport for Entry, Check-in & Boarding.

Contact details to be provided in the booking
As per Directorate General of Civil Aviation, it is mandatory that whilst making a booking, passengers must advise their Roaming/Working Mobile contact at Origin, Intermediate Stops and Destination Cities. Additionally, email contacts and any landlines must also be provided.
On-Ground Services
Web Check-in
You can check-in through Alliance Air website www.allianceair.in and make selection of your seat on- line and print boarding pass at the convenience of your office or residence. If you have baggage to deposit, you are requested to report sufficiently in advance before check-in closure at airports.
Kiosk Check-in
Self Service check-in Kiosks are available at some airports to enable you to check-in yourself and obtain boarding pass from the Kiosk machine. This facility is presently available for purely domestic flights. If you have baggage to deposit, please contact our check-in agent before check-in closure at airport .
City Check-in
City Booking Offices in select metro cities offer City check-in facility to passengers holding confirmed booking and travelling with hand baggage only.

Entry Permit for entering in Lakshadweep

Passengers who are non residents of Lakshadweep, shall have to obtain a permit from the Competent authority of Lakshadweep Administrative office in Kochi.

Online applicants can obtain e-Permit from the website https://epermit.utl.gov.in.

Alternatively, offline applicants can download the application form from the Lakshadweep Administration website or obtain it from the District Collector's office in Kavaratti or Resident commissioner office in Delhi & Kochi.
